CEE7N 6 built in 1890 (7)1291 to (7)1300
JN Slinn collection
All were built with 4 off 3rd, 1 off 1st, 1 off 2nd, but for a short time 1296 had an additional 2nd class compartment as in the diagram.

Some time before 1912, numbers 7293 and 7297 had slip apparatus fitted.  In the 1912 'Programme of Working of Coaches in Through Trains - Working of Slip Coaches' they are listed as 'Double Ended Slips, which I think is in error.  The slip gear was removed some time before the publication of the 1925 programme.

7242 & 7248 had the toilet at the guards end removed when 2nd class was converted to 3rd class

7238, 7241 and 7243 converted to Slip coaches by installing Slip gear in the guards compartment. All had had it removed by 1925.

All but one were built with steam heating.

All of these coaches appear in the 1912 'Programme of Working of Coaches in Through Trains - List of Slip Coaches'.   But they are not in the 1925 'Programme of Working of Coaches in Through Trains'.   So either the slip gear was removed or the coaches had been condemned by 1925.
